Guthrie Pumpkin Farms

Opening day is Saturday, September 27, 2025!

Celebrating more than 25 years on the farm!

Not just fun… REALLY fun!

Visitors to the farm can spend time in the animal petting barn, journey through the corn maze, hop on the wagon for a ride to the pumpkin patch, go crazy on the bounce pad, ride the bee train, or simply enjoy a game of checkers with a friend. Guthrie Pumpkin Farm is a great place for families to spend hours of fun together!

In fact, all of our activities are included with the cost of admission! Check out our season passes and group discount rates below.

What to expect on the farm…

As for advice to first time visitors – please dress for the weather and for playing. It is an outdoor event and the weather can change unexpectedly. We are a working farm and it will be dusty or muddy. Please check on Facebook or call us directly to see if we are open if the weather is questionable. Also note that pets are not allowed on the farm and we stop taking admissions 1 hour before closing.

Plan to spend a few hours: ride the wagon, pick out your pumpkins, play in the corn, pet some animals, jump on the bounce pad, eat deep fried Oreos, listen to bluegrass, laugh, and enjoy your family — down on the farm.

Guthrie Family

For generations, the Guthrie family has farmed in Tennessee. Rush and Sandra Guthrie purchased the farm near Riceville in 1989. Their goal was to purchase poorly managed and abused farmland and restore it by implementing the latest in management and conservation practices. To date, the Guthrie’s have been able to bring the farm back to a state of beauty, balance, and productivity. Their son Josh grew up on the farm and he, his wife, Carolyn, and son Adam, work with his parents in the operation.
